Some peculiarities of principles of the Russian Criminal Law

Some peculiarities of the principles of the Russian Criminal Law have been considered in the paper. The principle of citizenship, which had been changed greatly in the Criminal Law of the Russian Federation, has been analyzed. The principle of citizenship needs further improvement as its formulation does not comprise all the possible situations. This reduces efficiency and definiteness of action of the Russian Criminal Law concerning double-citizen people.

The historical and legal genesis of the concept "efficiency"

The paper has analyzed the term "efficiency" used in jurisprudence as a principle and a criterion of the law-enforcement activity. As an evaluative criterion of the efficiency it has been considered as a parameter showing the optimum "coefficient of efficiency" of the corresponding structure. As a principle of the law-enforcement activity efficiency assumes accordance between law-enforcement purposes and their expenses.
